To Import a Responsibility Matrix

You can import Excel worksheet files into AssetWise CONNECT Edition that contain the user, role, and object responsibilities, for the purpose of creating a responsibility matrix. This automates the process of populating a responsibility matrix, thus saving time and eliminating data entry errors.

Note: The import process may take a considerable amount of time, depending on the number of records in the import file.

Follow these steps to import a responsibility matrix Excel file into AssetWise CONNECT Edition.

  1. Open the Responsibility Matrix page, for which you want to import a responsibility matrix file.
  2. Select the Files tab. This tab lists all worksheets uploaded into the responsibility matrix.
  3. From the Actions menu, select Upload.
  4. Browse to select the file to upload, and then click Open.
The input file is ready to be configured and then processed.
